1. The Writer(s) understand that Great Southern Film and Television will not review any work without this signed release form accepting all of the provisions of this release Agreement. Signature is indicated by ticking “I Agree” to the terms and conditions of our Submission Release Form when submitting the Material online for review.
2. The Writer(s) hereby grant Great Southern Film and Television the right to read and evaluate the accompanying screenplay Material, referred to in the “Title of project” box of the online submission form and in this agreement as the “Material.”
3. The Writer(s) represent and warrant that he or she is the author of the Material and the sole owner of all right, title and interest in and to the Material.
4. The person named in the “Submitted by” box on our online web submission form warrants that they have the exclusive unconditional right and authority granted by the Writer(s) to submit the Material to Great Southern Film and Television upon the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.
5. If the Material has been adapted or is based on any other work, the Writer(s) maintains the right to use that work in the way described on the online submission form or can provide evidence of why that license is not required.
6. The Writer(s) agree and understand that as producers Great Southern Film and Television are privy to many literary Materials, scripts and ideas, and Material may be similar/identical in nature, theme, idea, plot, format and/or other respects to said Materials received and/or created by Great Southern Film and Television. Writer(s) agrees to indemnify and hold Great Southern Film and Television harmless from any and all claims, expenses, losses, or liabilities that may be asserted against or incurred by Great Southern Film and Television at any time arising from any breach or alleged breach of the warranties and promises given by me in this Agreement, including reasonable solicitors’ fees (on a solicitor/client basis) and other costs incurred defending against same.
7. The Writer(s) retains all rights to submit this or similar Material to persons or entities other than Great Southern Film and Television.
8. Great Southern Film and Television will keep the Material confidential to itself and any external advisors that it uses in assessing the Material.
9. The Writer(s) acknowledge that no fiduciary or confidential relationship now exists between Great Southern Film and Television and the Writer(s), and further acknowledges that no such relationships are established between Great Southern Film and Television and the Writer(s) by reason of this Agreement or by reason of my submission to Great Southern Film and Television of the Material.
10. The Writer(s) have retained at least one copy of the Material and release Great Southern Film and Television from any and all liability or loss or other damage to copies of the Material submitted to Great Southern Film and Television.
11. This Agreement will be governed by the laws of New Zealand.
12. By clicking “I Agree” on Great Southern Film and Television’s online submission form, the Writer(s) states that:
    
    
    1. I have read and understood the contents of this Agreement and confirm that no representations of any kind have been made by me.
    2. this Agreement encompasses our entire understanding with reference to the subject matter of the Material; and
    3. no modification or waiver of any of the provisions of this Agreement will have any effect unless such modifications or waiver is made in writing and signed by both parties.

Great Southern Film and Television will not review your submitted Material unless you agree to our terms and conditions listed above in our Submission Release Form.
