Who wants to be a Millionaire set a number of NZ records for Great Southern and TV One. In episode five - $375,000 was given away – by far the biggest television prize pool in NZ TV history. The first contestant walked away with $250,000 – and the second contestant clawed his way to a wonderful $125,000 prizepool. And the public were behind them all the way – over 700,000 Kiwis watched the episode – making it the most watched show in the country – a great moment for everyone involved in the production.
