Major TV Executive joins Great Southern Television

Two of the biggest names in New Zealand television are currently producing a primetime reality series at Great Southern Television.

Andrew Shaw, former Prime and TVNZ Executive, has the key role of producing the Phil Keoghan created series "No Opportunity Wasted."

The series sees the pair working together again after a good few years excelling themselves in the television industry.

Phil has just completed the 10th series of Amazing Race - and already has three Emmy's to his credit for that international series. Andrew meanwhile has been extremely busy with a host a major television projects - ensuring he is never far from the action.

The series premiere's on TV2 in late October - in the highly sought after 7.30pm slot on TV2, which has been traditionally the home of series such as Treasure Island and NZ Idol.

For Great Southern Television it is a move into an area of television that holds great appeal. The series is executive produced by Louise Keoghan, Phil Keoghan and Philip Smith. Louise and Phil Keoghan Executive Produced over 20 episodes of NOW for the Discovery Channel.
