Great Southern Television Drama Finalists
The Great Southern Television Production, the Pretender, is in the running for a major award at the Air New Zealand Screen Awards, 2006.
The five part drama - which was Great Southern's first scripted comedy series, has won a nomination for best scriptwriting - and in line for the award is Peter Cox.
The Pretender was turned around in record time - and won excellent reviews, so the acknowledgement is fitting - and a tribute to the entire writing team that put in the extra hours to deliver such a cutting edge piece.
The series was based an an original idea by Philip Smith and produced by Rachel Gardner and script edited by the highly acclaimed Vanessa Alexander. Now we all wait to see if Peter gets the nod on the night...
